Discover How Conscious Breathing Can Accelerate Emotional And Physical Healing

Start Your Journey To Breathwork Facilitation: Learn How To Guide Others To Find Peace And Wellness

It all starts with the breath…

Have you been looking for a way to help the people you care for and care about work through their past traumas, connect more deeply with themselves, and heal themselves of mental, emotional, and physical pain?

Are you interested in learning more about the powerful healing benefits of breathwork and how you can share these techniques with others?

Our Introduction to Breathwork Facilitation one day course is designed to teach you the foundations of leading breathwork sessions and guiding others on their healing journeys.

This training is for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of breathwork, or wants to start to learn how to facilitate breathwork sessions for individuals.

It’s also a great option for those who are interested in starting their own breathwork practice or adding breathwork to their existing therapeutic offerings, specifically if you:

  • Are a counsellor, coach, therapist or holistic practitioner who wants to introduce breathwork into your own practice
  • Work in a pastoral or caring setting and would like to bring a new dimension to your work
  • Have already experienced breathwork in your personal development, and would like to learn more about becoming a facilitator
  • Are curious about learning Breathwork and can imagine offering this to your family or friends

Breathwork: One of the Fastest-Growing Healing Practices Today

In the past few decades, breathwork has gone from a “fringe” healing modality to being one of the most widely-embraced methods of holistic somatic therapy available. The prevalence of high-profile practitioners (for example, Wim Hof and Sage Rader) and the ease of breathwork’s accessibility have helped grow its popularity, but there is a deeper reason for its meteoric rise…

Simply put, we are all hurting… and we are all looking for a way to make the pain stop.

It’s more apparent than ever that we must find ways to effectively deal with the trauma of our lives and the growing body of scientific research on the benefits of breathwork and conscious breathing, including the potential to relieve stress, improve physical performance, and release trauma has brought hope to many.

But how does it work?

Conscious breathing offers us direct access to the subconscious mind, allowing us to work through past traumas and heal the mental and physical damage it’s left behind. Simply through breathing we can bring about states of deep relaxation, release tension from the body, and reprogramme the thinking mind, resolving trauma in a way that is gentle, safe and empowering for the individual. It is one of the most powerful tools we have, and because of the lack of equipment, or any resources beyond your own body, it is accessible to virtually everyone.

Conscious Breathing can be used with individuals, couples and groups and offers you a highly accessible tool to integrate into any other therapeutic approach you currently practise.

What you’ll get

This one-day training will give you an introduction to breathwork facilitation using the practice of Conscious Connected Breathing. This form of breathing was developed in the 1960’s and 70’s by Leonard Orr, and forms the central practice of many modern breathwork schools. The process is gentle but also powerful and enables profound mental, emotional, physical and spiritual healing to take place, even in a single session.

During this intense training you’ll discover:

  • How to help your clients ground with a simple breathing practice
  • The fundamentals to the practice of Conscious Connected Breathing
  • How to build connection with a simple but powerful breath practice
  • The top 5 facilitation strategies you need to know
  • Witness a guided session demonstration
  • How to take someone through a short guided session
  • Experience your own guided journey with the breath
  • What it takes to train as a Breathworker
  • How to take your next steps forward

During the training you will have the opportunity to experience both sides of breathwork, and to practise your learnings immediately: you’ll take another participant through a short guided session as well as receive a session yourself.

Training opportunities like this are frequently sold for upwards of £200, and can take more than a week to cover the foundations of facilitation, but your investment for the Introduction to breathwork Facilitation Training Day is only one day, and £97.

Who else loved it

“I thought the training was so comprehensive in terms of getting the history of breathwork, the theory of it and then how to facilitate a session. I just couldn’t believe how much I had learned on the day. People felt so empowered by how the one on one sessions had gone. I really came away from it feeling like I could comfortably and safely facilitate a breathwork session for someone, maybe a family member or a very close friend, and get results for them. It was just wonderful, because it really demystified a lot of things. If someone asked me quite robustly, what is breathwork? How does it work? What does it serve to achieve? If I went for a session what could I expect from start to finish? I just felt I could answer all of those questions for them. It was a brilliant, brilliant day.”

Edward McGurn, Hypnotherapist

“This training is a great start to facilitate breathwork. Very well structured, with a kind and caring teacher, a lovely balance of theory and practice and a friendy and safe learning environment.”

Fabiana Legardic, Embodiment Coach and Dance Teacher

“I can’t recommend John Paul’s workshop highly enough. As a novice to breath work and facilitating, John Paul’s experience, calm reassurance and guidance throughout the day gave me the confidence to explore my connection with myself and others through the breath. Working with the breath is like no other therapy I have experienced and to be able to help someone else with their journey is a precious gift. I will be continuing my breathing journey, thank you John Paul”.

Anna Olson, Artist

“John Paul’s deep knowledge and love of Breathwork shines through in his training, discussions, and sharing of his practice and experience. He makes the practice sessions safe to attempt and facilitates learning through open discussion.”

John Paul Mason founded Breathing Journeys in 2014 to provide unique spiritual journeys for healing and transformation using a simple, accessible and directly applicable format for spiritual practice that has practical benefit and relevance to people’s daily lives.

He has extensive breathwork training gained with various UK and international teachers, including the Air School of Breathwork in Devon, with whom he received a Diploma in Rebirthing in 2013, Zentium International from Australia and Sundoor International from the USA with whom he is certified as a Spiritual Coach and Transformational Breathwork facilitator. He is passionate about enabling people to bring breathwork into their own communities and practice and sees breathwork as an accessible, simple but profound tool we can all use to help resolve trauma and wake up to who we really are.

This Breathwork training is for counsellors, therapists, holistic practitioners and coaches who are interested in exploring breathwork as a healing modality they may wish to introduce into their own practice. You are also welcome if you already have experience with breathwork and want to use it with family or friends or are curious about becoming a facilitator.

This training will include some background to the breathwork practice together with experiential practices including working in pairs to get you familiar with the breathing process. You’ll have the opportunity to facilitate another through a short breathwork session as well as experiencing your own guided session.

This introductory training will give you an experience of one-one facilitation. There will be shorter practices you can use with your clients and you may wish to practise longer sessions with colleagues, family or friends, however you will not be certified as a breathwork facilitator with Breathing Journeys. You will, however, get a good sense of what it is like to facilitate a deeper breathwork session should you want to pursue this modality further.

During the longer guided sessions you will be sitting or lying down and breathing using the Conscious Connected Breathing pattern that you will learn. As you breathe like this you may enter a deeply relaxed state where unconscious feelings, patterns or tensions are able to surface into your awareness to be reframed and released. You may experience various sensations during the process such as deep relaxation, dreaminess, tingling, aches and pains, emotions or experiences of deep connection.

Yes! If you know someone who might be interested in joining you for this training please let them know and send them the link to this page.

Learning to breathe well is essential for optimum health. You will learn to breathe in a way that relieves tension, detoxifies your body, supports the functioning of several major bodily systems and increases your vitality. Certain medical conditions are contraindicated however so please read about these here. If you have any doubt about your suitability for this training please contact John Paul. With appropriate guidance you will still be able to join.  Please note that we are not medical practitioners and if you have a medical condition that you are concerned about you are advised also to consult your own doctor before attending.

There are two investments to be made on the course: your time investment, and your monetary investment. I’m happy to say that I’ve done my best to reduce both of those for this training. Training opportunities like this are frequently sold for upwards of £200, and can take more than a week to cover the foundations of facilitation, but your investment for the Introduction to breathwork Facilitation Training Day is only one day, and £97. Please note there are no refunds for cancellations less than 30 days before the event.

This training will introduce you to the foundations of breathwork facilitation, and the specifics of the Conscious Connected Breathing Pattern. You’ll be able to experience breathwork facilitation from both sides – both guiding and being guided. This training is highly experiential, and over the course of the two three-hour sessions you’ll gain a better understanding of the power of breathwork, as well as what it takes to continue in your journey as a facilitator. By the end of the day you’ll have access to a reliable tool for helping others along their path to wellness and personal evolution, and for helping yourself as well.

I hope you can join us at the next session.
