Taking our first steps towards anything new in our lives can be tricky. All manner of doubts and circumstances can arise to challenge us, confront us and bring us closer to ourselves. By taking the time to integrate these as they arise, we move steadily along the path of self knowledge, gaining clarity, poise and wisdom. Our resistances serve to guide us, to keep us travelling on the road we need in order to grow. As we get closer to our intended destination we increasingly become aware of the opportunities all challenges bring. Thus we travel lightly, our breath our companion and guide.
Our weeks retreat will be held in wonderful country house accommodation in the foothills of the Highlands of Scotland. This will enable us to take walks right from the door and fully immerse ourselves in the landscape.
Enjoy a week of walking, meditation and breathwork set in the beautiful mountains of Scotland. The transformation effects of daily breathwork sessions will be grounded through walks into the mountains, giving time for reflection and integration and the development of a deeper awareness of who we are and how we operate. The programme will be flexible but will include daily meditation sessions and at least one breathwork session per day. There will be led walks on 4 of the days of between 4-6 hour duration, with additional free time to explore the local countryside at your leisure. Breathwork sessions will include partnered and group sessions. All activities are optional and you will be free to join in as much as you like during the week. Previous experience is not required and you will receive full instruction for all activities.
The schedule each day will be tailored to suit the unfolding of the retreat but is likely to include:
- Morning Meditation
- Head out for days walk with packed lunch
- Late afternoon Breathwork Session
- Closing meditation
Two of the days will have more of a breathwork focus with no led walk so we can experience the practice more deeply. One day will include more free time for other activities or exploring the area in your own time.
- Seven nights accommodation in shared or single rooms
- Morning and evening meditation sessions
- Led walks on 4 days
- Breathwork seminars and instruction
- Daily breathwork sessions (group and partnered sessions)
- Delicious vegetarian food including breakfast, brunch and evening meal.
- Time for other activities and to explore the local environment

There will also be the opportunity to have additional one-one breathwork sessions during the week (at additional cost).

There is one bursary place available for those who would like to attend but have limited financial resources to fully cover the retreat. Contact us for further details.
The retreat location is around 1.5-2 hours drive from Edinburgh airport and 2-2.5 hours from Glasgow. Shared transport can be coordinated from the airport for additional cost. Please arrive in time for dinner on the first day of the retreat at 7pm. The retreat will finish at 10am on the last day.
This retreat is for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, being in nature and would like to have more insight into who they are and what they want from their lives. For the led walks you should be able to walk at least 6-8 miles comfortably and be used to moderate ascents. It is suitable for those new to breathwork as well as those with prior experience.
